Creative Fun
Away from the activity sessions, we also run creative activities covering:
Dance
Drama
Music and Singing
These classes provide basic introductions to each discipline and focus on learning through imagination, expression and play. The activities are suitable for the three to five years age group and theywork alongside existing themes and projects.
All of the sessions are fun and involve the children throughout. These classes can be run as a one off or as part of a regular six week booking. We can also link the class to any special events that you may have coming up such as graduations, family events or fundraisers that are being run by the nursery.
Sports Events
One of the biggest debates in the childcare industry at present centres around the inclusion of competitive activity. While some authorities steer clear of it, we consider it to be a vital part of a child’s development. While we dont quite go as far as the win at all costs mentality, we do feel that children need to learn about winning and losing, and the processes that contribute to both. Without experiencing the failures that come with growing up, children will not be able to learn about the worth of success or indeed work harder to overcome the same obstacles in the future.
Unfortunately, this view is not widely shared and one of the first things to suffer as a result has been Sports Days. In order to retain this important feature of early education, we have created a number of fun activity days to replace the simple individual-orientated races of the past. Our team based sessions retain a competitive element but the focus is all about havin fun and full participation. Our sports day packages include:
